Getting to places in need of development and emergency aid is not always easy. Often, it consists of complicated travel plans that are in constant risk of getting altered last minute. Therefore, it is our finest job to secure that the help arrives where it is needed. Help that saves lives, prevents illnesses, provides educations and training, building and rebuilding, and – last but not least – gives people hope.

In our Humanitarian Department, we have the pleasure of assisting both Danish and foreign church and humanitarian organisations. We have been doing this for a very long time, and today we count more than 150 organizations as our customers and cover more than 80% of the Danish market.

As a travel agency, we are proud of being part of making all of this possible. We hear stories from hotspots of the world on a daily basis and this provides an insight for us as to how important a piece of work we help facilitate. Therefore, we strive to keep a professional approach where flexibility is part of how we work along with a great focus on meeting and understanding our customers for the travel to fit each traveler’s needs.

Our duty of Care – Unitas Care

  • 24/7 service: especially in an emergency you’ll appreciate some backup. Don’t worry, we’ll be there for you. Our emergency telephone is available outside of our regular opening hours, including holidays. The emergency telephone is used in situations where you are in need of help in regards to your travel in case of delays, cancellations or other urgent matters. The phone is operated by our experienced and dedicated 24/7 partner. They handle all urgent matters outside of office hours and will find the best solution to your emergency. Please note that a fee will be charged for this service.
  • Unitas Care: People who do noprofit work in conflict zones or situations of political instability are faced with threats to physical security and integrity. Protect your staff while they travel. With Unitas Care we offer our clients a responsible travel management program.
  • Know before you go: Pretrip advisory with all the up-to-date information of the destinations you travel to.
  • Stay in the know: We provide risk alerts  to keep you informed about the situation (political developments, conflicts and terrorism, demonstrations and unrest, crime and corruption, natural and environmental disasters, health and medical issues, travel safety) within the region of your travel destination.
  • Direct insight of the travellers location: We can monitor our travellers locations. It is directly visible on the map, and we can easily communicate with designated groups

Responsible travel

A lot of church and humanitarian organisations have increased their focus on sustainability over the past years. Of course, this also applies in regards to travel activities which is why we offer the possibility of climate compensation for every trip we arrange. The money from the climate compensation is invested in our climate project in Uganda in cooperation with the Danish humanitarian organization, DanChurchAid.
